The Santa Cruz, California Surf Statue not far from Steamers Lane where top surfers go to catch waves, represents the surfing spirit known throughout Santa Cruz and the ecologically protected Monterey Bay sanctuary. The statue alone is what I would consider your typical classic shot. Upon arriving at the statue someone had placed a small stuffed animal at it’s feet. I left it there because I felt it added an interesting contrast to the serious tone and pose of the statue.
Sorry for the lack of updates. Lots of cool things going on and priorities had to take over.
