While walking through Yosemite National Park one day I stumbled across two bucks under a canopy of trees. They both seemed relaxed while they were eating acorns so I pulled out my gear and hung out for about an hour. They were both very calm and I gradually kept moving closer until I was within arms length of one. Unfortunately when I left my car I didn’t bring my 70-200mm L Lens (I’ll never do so again). But I’m happy with what I got with my old 28-200mm.
The period of time I spent with them was a very touching moment for me. I felt as if God was there at that moment looking at me through the deer. That day really helped me appreciate how you never know when something unique can happen in your life regardless of all the stress we sometimes think we have swirling around us. Sometimes you’ve just got to get out of the house and do something you weren’t planning on doing to experience life.
